BEAUTIFUL RESIDENCE TO RENT IN TUSCANY |
This great estate stands in the middle of one of
the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany. With the great mountain Amiata, the town of Pienza
(the first Renaissance experiment at building an ideal city - see below.) and the famous
"crete" (clay gullies) of Siena in the middle.
Each farmhouse on the estate has a lot of privacy. There is a
dairy farm and the estate has been protected as a wildlife park by Simona, the proprietor
who is a great lover of nature: all around you, in the woods and in the fields, are fawns,
deer, wildboar, pheasant, foxes ... Swimming pool 14 x 7 metres goes with the
"Castel" farmhouse. There is also tennis and a beautiful new public pool only
I.5 km. away mt. 15. x 8 (hardly anybody uses it). |

- Booking periods: Preferably sat. to sat. There may be an extra charge for part weeks.

- Tasting the best wines in Italy: go and taste the noble Brunello at Montalcino Enoteca
La Fortezza (inside the fortress) Fiaschetteria Italiana (in the piazza).
- Sport:: big new pool, tennis club and mini soccer 2 km away/ riding centre (also for
trekking) 10 km.
- Walks: wonderful walks from outside you doorstep: on the paths of the large estate, in
all the countryside around.
- Spas and lakes: There are a lot of ancient spas with thermal waters in the most
delightful villages all around: Bagno Vignoni ( 15 km) * Chianciano 10 km.) * Bagni S.
Filippo, Lakes for swimming: Lake Trasimeno (40 km.) * Lake Bolsena (50 km).
- Hosted exploration: half or full day can be arranged by appointment with the host and
author.
- Litterature and Guides: some of these written specifically for this project and about
this property. Available to guests. See "Messengers of Civilisation"
- Movies: selection of English language film classics about Italian
civilization (e.g"Julius Caesar" with Marlon Brando)

- Restaurants 3 km. and shops and services at Chianciano (10 km.)
- Transport: The nearest rail station is Chiusi which is 30 minutes away. Intercity fast
trains run through it approx. 1hr. 15 mins. both to Rome and to Florence. A car is
necessary at this property.
